This live streaming watering hole webcam is situated at Mpala in Laikipia County, located on the Equator in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya in Africa. The Mpala Research Centre was established in November 1994 at the core of the Ewaso ecosystem, a large, geographically diverse region of central Kenya, defined by the Ewaso Ng'iro River and it's tributaries. The region is characterised by arid and semi-arid savannahs and woodlands, having an estimated 550 bird species and 100 mammal species, including large populations of elephants and rare species, such as the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and African wild dog. The Laikipia Plateau where the webcam is located stretches from the Rift Valley to the slopes of Mount Kenya and is home to more than two million acres of private ranchland, a wonderful wilderness for wildlife to thrive. Here you should be able to see elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, leopards and many other species using the watering hole, and if lucky, you might even glimpse a crocodile.
This Kenya watering hole webcam if frequented night and day and you won't have to wait long, if at all, before you see the watering hole in use as hippos, gazelles, crocodiles, leopards and many other species take a drink and/or a swim. As with all our live streaming webcams, they often they go down either for maintenance or because some of the wildlife you are hoping to see has become over curious and damaged the camera.
